Kim Kardashian, Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Serena Williams and more celebrities went “digitally dead”. By doing so, they are all in attempt to fight the world AIDS crisis. Each celebrity in the cause has refused to use Twitter or Facebook until $1 million is donated to Keep a Child Alive.
As of 3p.m. yesterday, Tuesday, December 1st, $60,000 had been raised. At that rate, it will take well over a week to reach the destined goal of $1 million. Some people find celebrities being “digitally dead” a controversial topic. Seeing as how celebrities have much louder voices than we do, people on www.philly.com believe that they should be using those powerful voices rather than “dying”.
