There have been many rumors about Facebook shutting down in March due to Mark Zuckerberg being fed up with the business. Many websites say it is a hoax, but since a rumor always has two sides, we will have to wait to find out the truth. Although, if Facebook does shut down, what in the world will we do with our lives; do our homework, clean our rooms, get some sleep? Probably not.
We all like to blame Facebook for consuming us and pulling us away from our obligations, but if indeed it does shut down in two months, I am sure we will all find something else to keep us busy from homework. Even though most of us hate Twitter, we will force ourselves to love it, or just turn to television again. Monday night, “The Bachelor”, Tuesday night, “Tosh.O” and so on… .
I think we would be truly devastated for a while, though. No more liking the the statuses of people we never talk to in the halls, no more uploading Macbook pictures of ourselves, and most of all, no more weather updates of “IT’S SNOWING!!!!!! <3″ even though everyone already knows. It is truly depressing to be honest, so lets all hope for the sake of our lives and sanity that Facebook stays running strong, because Twitter does not suffice and “The Bachelor” only lasts as long as its engagements do.
