The MHS FITNESSGRAM test dates are from March 21- March 24 during all English classes. The FITNESSGRAM is an assessment that tests physical fitness. It establishes a healthy fitness zone and allows students to set goals and check their progress.
No one can “fail” the test. The FITNESSGRAM simply determines each individual’s fitness needs. The test also does not affect grades.
On the day of the test, students should wear athletic clothing and appropriate shoes. Students can prepare for this assessment by being physically active for at least 60 minutes a day at least five days a week. Physical activity includes walking, jogging, playing tennis, swimming and anything that elevates the heart rate and involves movement. Students can also practice sit-ups and push-ups two or three days per week. Eating a healthy diet with lots of fruits and vegetables is also a great idea.
