In February, Student Council ordered shirts to raise money for Pennies for Patients, an organization dedicated to finding a cure for leukemia and lymphoma. Leukemia is cancer of the blood-forming tissues in the body, including the bone marrow. Of all the shirts purchased, 100 percent of the profit was donated to the organization.
Recently, Student Council ordered more t-shirts; however, these new shirts say “For Cole” on the back.
Cole Riddle is a senior who is bravely fighting a battle against leukemia, but he is not alone. If students buy a t-shirt for only $10, all proceeds made will benefit Cole and his family.
Also, Student Council ordered bracelets that say ”For Cole”. The bracelets are $2 and are expected to arrive on April 12. All proceeds will benefit his family. However, the plan is for all seniors to purchase one and wear it at graduation. When seniors officially graduate, it is planned that they will all throw their wrists up in the air, bracelets on, in honor of Cole.
