Little Known No More

It seems like everyone goes to the same places these days, whether it’s ABC, Lifetime, or Pure Bliss. You might be tired of going to these hangouts because of crowds, or you might just be looking for somewhere new. What you might not know is that there are a few spots here in Mansfield that are just as good to hang out.Steven’s Garden and Grill is a popular spot with many longtime residents. It’s a restaurant with a different atmosphere than most.
“I like it. I think its yummy. The inside’s all rustic so it’s different from everywhere else,” junior Frankie Sheldon said.
Steven’s is a laid-back restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, where all of the guests are encouraged to sit back, relax, and enjoy the food and music.
“I always get the jalepeno sausage from there,” Junior Kelsey Dow said.
The restaurant’s location on Depot St. makes it hidden but is memorable to those who have found it.
Another hangout that isn’t very well known is the Blue Cow Coffee Co. on Broad Street. Students seem to like it for its unique character and low prices.
“Most of the time it is really relaxed. I think that people of all ages can enjoy it,” Senior Emily Dello Russo said.
Having a kid’s room that has a big dry erase board, markers, paper, colored pencils, books, puzzles, and toys makes it suitable for the younger generation. The older guests can relax in the large comfy chairs, at a table, or watch TV. The atmosphere isn’t the only aspect of Blue Cow people like.
“I love the Dr. Pepper chocolate chip cookies and the raspberry white-chocolate mocha from there,” junior Kelsey Dow said.
The Blue Cow is best known for its Blue Cow Breve, a special mixture that adds more flavor to any warm beverage.
Another spot to watch for is the up and coming frozen yogurt shop, Purple Berri, on Debbie Ln. Steven’s, Blue Cow, and Purple Berri are places to consider next time you and your friends are looking for a place to hangout.
