Cutting Edge Haunted House Review

October 20, 2015

Enter at your own risk. Halloween is approaching soon and with it comes costumes, candy, and haunted houses. Whether you are an adrenaline junkie or just searching for something to do, you may want to check out the haunted house, Cutting Edge. This place holds the Guinness World Record for the longest haunted house and remains to be one of the scariest haunted houses I have ever been too. Compared to other haunted attractions like Scream, Zombie Manor, and Hangman’s House of Horrors, this one tops the list.

The wait to venture inside is usually long, about forty-five minutes to an hour, but there is never a dull moment. Characters in full makeup and outfits hang out around the entrance and love to interact with the guests. They also play music, old and new, to calm peoples’ nerves before they face their fears. Once inside, there are plenty of moments to latch onto your neighbor and scream your heart out. However, there are also rooms where you can slow down for a second, catch your breath, and find friends who may have wandered away. Once you reach the end, you are rewarded with a tunnel full of bubbles to relieve any of the extra anxiety that you may have developed along the way.

Despite all the cool and fun details about this attraction, there are some other factors to take into consideration. For adults, a regular ticket is around $32 each including tax and a speed pass ticket is about $52 each including tax. It takes an average fifty-five minutes to an hour to get through completely which means that your money will be well spent as far as the length of the haunted house. Some safety hazards include little to no light, bright flashing lights, stairs and walkways that may not be easily seen, loud music, and heavy aroma(s). Cutting Edge is also located in a part of Fort Worth that may not be the safest. Therefore, you should try to go with a couple of extra buddies.

Haunted houses are similar in some ways, but they all have their niches and traits that make them unique. Researching and looking into different places will help you to pick the best haunted attraction for you. Haunted houses are not for everyone, but if you were to just cross one off your list then I would recommend this one. It was definitely worth the time and money, for me, and I will be returning there again for this Halloween.

Cutting Edge is located at 1701 E Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76102.
