Connor Mire, Newspaper Staff
Hi I'm Connor, and this is my second (and final) year on the Uproar as a staff writer. I love writing and I'm a huge nerd for both UIL and Academic Decathlon. Over the last year, I've had the opportunity to attend the UIL academics State Meet at the University of Texas at Austin, where I became the state champion for 6A Current Issues & Events. I've also competed in Academic Decathlon, where our team won first place in the State Super Quiz, as well as individually earning a silver medal in the essay competition at State and a bronze in Region VIII for Music. I'm also involved in NHS and I play guitar in my free time, so it's safe to say that I hardly give myself the "easy way out." It's absolutely mind-blowing to me that four years have sped by so fast. Regardless, I can't wait to see what this last school year has to offer!
