The truth is, there isn’t much more to do than eat, go to Cinemark, and take walks around the park. So, this year, check out some of these ideas around DFW (listed cheapest to most expensive):

With different exhibitions every couple of months, the Dallas Museum of Art has tons to explore. Located in downtown Dallas, the museum currently has art from the Middle Ages and 19th-century French political satire on display.

Hockey/basketball games (free)

During this season, hockey and basketball are in high demand. UTA hosts multiple games at their sports stadiums, some of which are free, while others may cost a few dollars. Get a feel for the college experience, and watch the local sports teams.

Geocaching (free?)

Geocaching has been gaining a lot of attention around the area. Using a GPS, participants hide and find containers, also known as “caches”. There are locations all around the world, and whether or not you buy something to leave behind is your choice. So get out and get caching!

White Rhino (moderate pricing $5-$10)

Also located in Cedar Hill, White Rhino has amazing coffee and pastries. If you want a change of scene  from the usual Starbucks, White Rhino is a great place to check out. You can have deep discussions with your significant other, your friends, or your family.
